About me...

Favorite quote:  "All art is a kind of confession, more or less oblique. All artists, if they are to
survive are forced, at last, to tell the whole story; to vomit the anguish up."
-  James Baldwin

I am a freelance artist who grew up in a multi-cultural household which cultuvated my creativity. I was able to grow up in an environment that taught me about culture and diversity to formed an outlook that saw the beauty in all things no matter how different or unique they might be. From an early age, I worked to create ecclectic works of art and develop my artistic skills through much trial and error. I've developed in acrylic, graphic, charcoal, photography, and sculpting skills by learning from many of my mentors in the past.
In 2001 I graduated with my AS degree in Graphic Design from Tampa Technical Institute. After a long hiatus of going back to school and working full time, I decided to begin painting more and working on becoming involved with the local art scene in Tampa. (See Past and Upcoming shows for details) My hope is to one day be able to do art.. and only art...as a means of living  positively...and also be able to teach others how to release the anguish they have inside & also the imaginative expressions that have yet to bring to life.

Along with being an artist I enjoy watching movies (especially Indie and Romantic Comedy films.) Some of my favorites are Pans Labyrinth and Edward Scissorhands. I dig eating all types of cuisine...from Vietnamese to Thai...to my favorite: Sushi! I enjoy time with my friends and family, including my son (a fawn pug.) I also have a huge passion for fitness and running since that has played a huge part in my being happy and healthy in life! Feel free to check out my blog (link to the left) to catch up on my crazy life and races coming up!

I am currently doing local art shows in the Tampa Bay area, mostly working with Square One Productions. I am also involved with Kick Start My Art & The Gasparilla Film Festival Art Auction.

My husband & I are were just newly married on May 5, 2012 in Antigua!
